Which small businesses are hurt most by rising gas prices?
What
can they do to save money?

I think companies that have to do a lot of driving are hurt the most. If you’re like me and own an Event Management Company, then there’s a TON of driving to do. Meeting clients, visiting vendors and venues, going back and forth to shop for needed supplies...it can all be strenuous on a person’s gas tank.
There’s not much an event planner can do to save him or herself from constant driving. We have to do all the above tasks, and more! Since we are a brand new company, we can very well keep the rising price of gas in mind as we determine our fees. I’m not the biggest expert on money saving…so there really could be oodles of other options out there for me.

would it be?

Sleep in and play Sims 2 ALL day! Probably go home shopping at some point. A sistah has to be hopeful….cause she’s nowhere near ready to buy!
What would make you question a friendship?

Dishonesty. Be honest with me, don’t lie to me. If I ask you for the truth, don’t hide anything from me. Also, neglect. I’ve had strong friendships that turned into ‘Christina who?’ friendships, and I never know why.
It’s why I’m nervous about meeting new people. It’s why I’m never 100% confident in the friendships I have now. It’s why I never give myself completely to another person, why I’m afraid to be myself sometimes, why I refuse to open up and allow people the privilege of knowing the real me. Because friendships have been so jacked up in the past.
Now I’ve got some good friendships, and with will power to let go of the fear of friendship failure, those friendships are growing, thriving and improving. Friends that have fallen off the bandwagon never needed to be on it in the first place. Friends that are still hanging in there deserve to be there!
What have you been putting off all weekend?
I've been putting off: Putting together my two new bookcases - which I finally forced myself to do yesterday! Well one of them at least. I’ve also been slowful about finishing my laundry! Washing, folding, and putting away clothes. Never quite in a mood for that, lol. I’ve also been slacking in looking for a new part-time job...though I did just get hired at Target as an overnight associate. Just did my drug test today. What fun driving into Gambrills just to pee in a cup. I’m extremely lackadaisical about continuing my novel...as if I haven't already wasted enough time. That’s is a blog entry in and of itself. And I’m sad to say that hitting the gym has been on the back burner for a while. Every Sat. morning and Sun. morning before church I say I’m going to head to the gym…but I haven’t seen the inside of my gym for a mighty long time. I recently purchased a gym membership at the Gold’s Gym that’s closer to my house. I never feel like going into the next part of town to go to the World Gym that I also have a membership with. So….now I have two gym memberships and a personal trainer, If I don’t lose weight then I’m just plain crazy! We’ll see what happens, lol….
Probably my friend Kenya. She's a cool person to be around. Not that all my other friends/address book members aren't cool. But sometimes you have a friend preference, lol. It's been a while since me and Kenya did lunch!Out of anyone in your address book, with whom would you most like to have lunch today?
What does blogging do for you?

Blogging allows me to express my creativity, air my frustrations and clear my head of random thoughts and opinions.
What project are you working on right now
that's not work related?
LOL...Good Question....Besides blogging, I’m working on my new novel. Okay....my DEBUT
novel – and that's got nothing to do with selling signs (I’m a CSR for a sign center in
Annapolis, MD). But if it's any consolation, I'm on my lunch break...for now. I'm also planning
my wedding (I've got everything but the groom!). You see what had happened was....I
launched a business called Lancaster House Events with my mother, aunt and cousin
(www.lancasterevents.org). We just finished planning a wedding that took place this past
Saturday, and now I have a wedding planning bug within me. All I need is the groom and
about twelve million dollars........and the show will be on!
What is your personal motto?
