          Of course, I'm late answering this! But I'm making up for lost time, LOL. I think that single mothers who are doing their best to make everything work out for them and their child without beating them, neglecting them, or  mistreating them deserve an award. Any single mother who, in the midst of struggling puts their child's needs before their own deserves an award.
        Single mothers are overlooked and maybe even judged for being who they are. What people don't see is all they go through to make ends meet - with little or no help from the child's father. Single mothers deserve awards!
          I'm not a single mother, by the way, LOL. I'm not a mother - period. But I have friends and family members who are. I also think single fathers who have to be both mother and father to their child or children for some reason deserve an award. Why not? It's hard being two parents in one for anybody! Single mothers and single fathers deserve an award on both 'parent-honoring' days!
